What we collect
Your email address, chosen feedback language, profession and country (if you provide them), the estimated grade of each check, and technical data needed to prevent abuse (IP address, stored for rate limiting for one day).
Accounts and members
If you sign in, we process your email address and a Firebase account identifier. If you buy a membership, Stripe processes your payment; we store the purchase reference, amount and membership status. For members we store feedback reports (scores, comments and short quoted phrases from your letter, never the full letter) so you can see your progress. You can delete reports from your account or ask us to delete everything.
Letters you share to improve grading
If you use the "Share a marked letter" page and give consent, we store that letter, its case notes, the grade and who marked it. We use these only to test and improve the accuracy of our grading (for example by comparing our estimates with the marker's grade) and never publish them. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your letter
The case notes and letter you paste are sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), only to generate your report. We do not store the letter text in our database.
Why
To provide the checker (contract), to limit abuse (legitimate interest), and to email you about OET preparation and the Founding Pass (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Where
Data is stored on Google Cloud/Firebase in the EU (europe-west1). Google processes submitted text under the Gemini API terms; transfers outside the EU rely on appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent by emailing vincent@capital-ai.eu. You may also complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
